The American Society of Home Inspectors is the largest and most respected professional association for home inspectors in North America. Established in 1976, the association promotes excellence within the home inspection profession for it's 6,000 members. ASHI's standards of practice cover all the major systems in a home and are recognized by both consumer and industry professionals as the standard for home inspection excellence. The Standards of Practice have been written into state and federal legislation in both the U.S. and Canada.
